Full disclosure: I was the owner of an 8G iPod Touch for about a year and a half, allowing me to access apps from Apple's app store. I sold it two months ago. I've owned a Droid for about a month now, and I'm pretty happy about it.

Full, full disclosure: before I had the Droid, I used a BlackBerry Storm, which means my opinion of the Droid may be inflated after a year of being subjected to RIM's crap phone. This is an emotional, not a technical, commentary.

Delicious Fruit

Buying things gives us a hit of dopamine. With Apple, buying things has never been easier. It's not just that the shiny, community-contributed apps are just a tap away. You can feel secure knowing that the app is going to be functional with all of your Apple products, too. Whether you're managing your to do list in iCal, dropping calls in Upstate New York with your iPhone, or kicked back reading the news on your iPad while somebody takes a picture of your feet, you will stay painlessly...
